HIRE A VETERAN ONTO YOUR EXECUTIVE TEAM

LESSON: Hiring a veteran into your executive suite instantly increases the productivity, proficiency, and toughness of your corporate team. Don’t miss this incredible opportunity, as well as gain access to a vast network of highly degreed warriors who connect across all industries in the United States and International stage.  Set out in 2025 to add multiple veterans to your executive team, and you will be rewarded 10x.

Another group of misnomers in corporate America is that military veterans are overly structured, need direction, and are set in their ways. This may be true of 4-Star Generals who have known nothing else, but you can’t afford them now anyways!  A 5-year veteran, or 20-year veteran, is just getting started and they will blow you away with their education, experience, and maturity.

I have the honor of, intentionally, working daily with a team of veterans, as well as with a number of veteran-owned client defense contractors.  Working with veterans takes so many issues off the table: trust concerns, reliability concerns, slackerness, and general whining!

Surprising to many, only 6.1% of Americans are veterans.  I so wish it was much higher in order to defend our nation well, but also since this time in service develops so many things in young men and women which need developing.  I know it did for me!

Military service provides discipline, responsibility, the ability to not live off your parents in your 20’s, the opportunity to build tremendous leadership skills at a very young age, and the opportunity to be part of something bigger than yourself. I know offensive to many, but two years of mandatory service in our country would fix a tremendous number of our social dysfunctions, certainly more successfully than 50 years of social programs.

When I would send post cards home to my dad and mom from the Air Force Academy complaining that they had to come save me, my dad always wrote back, “One day you will understand what an incredible opportunity this was for you,” and, as always, he was right.

Hug a Veteran today, better yet smooch one!  Most importantly, to your own benefit, tell your team to recruit veteran leaders.  There are so many great organizations to get involved in: Tunnels to Towers, Wounder Warrior, USO, 10x Vets, Localvest to name only a few.  Don’t view it as charity and community.  Make it the smartest capitalism move you ever made!

Have a great week! God Bless the United States of America.
